Cost of shooting club in SF

Here’s a breakdown of what it costs me to shoot at a club in San Francisco.

Energy drink — $3.00
I could shoot without it, but you don’t want me to shoot without it.

Gasoline for Fremont to SF — $5.00
San Francisco is about 40 miles away from Fremont. Every trip costs me an Abraham Lincoln.

Bridge toll — $4.00
Westbound on Bay Bridge, San Mateo Bridge, and Dumbarton Bridge all cost the same.

Parking — $5.00
Sometimes parking is free, sometimes it’s around $10, so average is another Abe Lincoln.

Mixed drink — $10.00
Again, I could shoot without it, but you don’t want me to shoot without it.

Gasoline for SF to Fremont — $5.00
I do need to go home after shooting. Another Abraham.

Jack In The Box meal — $5.00
Shooting makes me hungry, and nothing’s open at 3 AM in my area except Jack In The Box.

That’s $37 for a typical club shoot in San Francisco. (For San Jose clubs it’s the same minus bridge toll and some gas.) That’s a loss of $37 each time a club promoter decides the photographer is not important enough to pay, not to mention hours of my time.
