A magnitude 5.6 earthquake just happened in my area! The epicenter was about 7 miles east of Milpitas, so maybe 10 miles or so from Fremont (where I’m at). Don’t worry. We’re fine. We’re all fine, here, now, thank you. How are you? Wooh that was fun.
Update: The San Jose Mercury News article says the “preliminary magnitude estimate was 5.6, making it the most powerful quake to hit the Bay Area since Loma Prieta, Oct. 17, 1989.” I remember the Loma Prieta quake. I was a little kid, and my mom and I ducked and covered under a glass table. Yeah, I know.
