All movie theaters in Shanghai are half price on Tuesdays, so I went and watched Stephen Chow’s latest movie, CJ7 (长江7号). Oh man. Stephen Chow. What happened?! Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle were pretty funny but this movie sucks! Or maybe it was made for a younger audience, like ages 1–3.
Sure the audience laughed, but they were mostly laughing because the little CGI alien was being cute. I don’t know man. I really don’t find an animated snot making different facial expressions to be that funny.
Save your money and skip this movie. I’m not saying to download it and watch it on the computer, like everyone else in China. I’m saying just don’t even waste your time.
