As you may or may not know, China is going through some nationalistic madness right now (more than usual), and apparently McDonald’s is trying to cash in on it. Today I saw an in-store sign advertising a meal called “52中国”, which basically translates to “I Love China”.
This was right next door to a Carrefour, which today was supposed to (but didn’t) have protesters urging people to boycott the French supermarket chain. Love China? Boycott the French and spend 52 RMB on American fast food!
