My new-hire coworker Fish, who took a day off on his second day and speaks fluent English with a British/Kiwi accent, is a DJ. He does electro or techno or whatever – it’s all the same to me. His girlfriend said he’s famous here in Shanghai, but I think she only said that so I’d be nicer and stop giving him projects one after another. (Not gonna happen.) However he did get featured in Louder.cn, a sister site of SmartShanghai. It’s in Chinese so I can’t read it, but it looks legit. I took a photo with the weirdo in case he really is famous. These were shot in The Shelter.

hah, it was fun to rock the home-boys shit out of their mind. Hard to say “famous”, if you’re showing up among shanghai’s developing underground music scene. And also, it’s frustrating to really work on underground music here or maybe everywhere.
