Day 603. I’m flying to SFO tomorrow. Aside from family and friends, what I’m looking forward to most is probably reasonably priced cereal. A box of Life cereal at City Shop in Shanghai costs 68 RMB. That’s about 10 US dollars! For a box of cereal! I like this one: a can of Arizona Fruit Punch with “99¢” printed on it costs 16.8 RMB. You do the math. I understand imported goods naturally cost more, but come on!
This is why you need to buy cereal in bulk.
I saved room in my luggage for Costco.
