Let’s start with a bit of insider gossip and see if Parsec says I’m breaking confidentiality, heehee…
I didn’t agreed to this
Long before Parsec launched in November 2024, I agreed to co-found the brand with an expensive premium board, the Aero Pro, on the condition that we launch a budget-friendly board at the same time. That budget-friendly board was supposed to be the Aero Chill.
Launching with the Aero Pro as our first and only product seemed really out of character for me since I had always championed affordability in electric skateboards in my videos. I even said that I personally don’t care much for carbon fiber decks!
When it became clear that the Aero Chill wouldn’t launch simultaneously, I reluctantly agreed to move forward, so long as it launched soon after.
Well, nearly two years later, and almost a month after I left the brand, Aero Chill is finally available for preorder.

Better than Aero Pro?
But the really good news is that the Aero Chill, while priced about the same as we had originally planned, is a far more premium product than we had envisioned. It wasn’t supposed to have the same 7075 aluminum trucks as the Aero Pro, the same Molicel P45B cells, the same performance, the same thinness, or nearly the same light weight.
By nearly every metric that most people care about, the $799 Aero Chill and the $1,399 Aero Pro S are essentially the same product. In fact, I think most people would argue that the Aero Chill is a better product. It performs just as well as the Pro, and it’s a bit more comfortable thanks to its slightly flexible deck and padded griptape.
There’s really no downside except for the extra weight. The whopping 400 grams. /s
Weight a minute
Even between the Aero Pro S and X, you don’t really notice the 1 kg weight difference unless you’re carrying them for an extended period. For brief moments, like taking them out of the car trunk, the difference is negligible.
The original weight target for the Aero Chill was somewhere in the mid-8 kg range. Its final weight is just 7.7 kg—not even half a kilogram more than the Aero Pro S. Even if you care about that small weight difference, I envy your level of disposable income if you’d spend an extra $600 to save ~400 grams.
For the rest of us, the only compelling reason to get an Aero Pro now is to get the Aero Pro X, which has twice the battery capacity.
